Have questions about your stay at Drotsky’s Cabins? We’ve compiled the most frequently asked questions to help you plan your trip with ease – from travel tips and lodge facilities to what to pack and how to stay connected.

Yes there is cellphone reception, however it can be spotty in areas.
There is Wifi in the main areas and the chalets.
The lodge has 220V electricity, with round plugs; you will need an adapter for square pins or two pin plugs. 
Each campsite has an electric light and power point.
The lodge has credit card facilities (Visa and Mastercard only).
There are ATM and banks in Shakawe as well.
Yes, breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available at the main lodge, with all meals freshly prepared and served daily. 
Bookings are required for all meals.

Mohembo Border Post – ±26 km

Maun – ±388 km

Tsodilo Hills – ±55–60 km

Distances are approximate and based on normal driving routes.

We accept Pula, Master and Visa card as well as forex (U$, Euro, ZAR, N$)

If paying with forex the lodges daily exchange rate will be used. 

Shakawe Village has a Choppies, Fours and Sefalana Supermarket, Pep Stores and a local restaurant.
3 Filling Stations and 3 banks ( FNB, Absa and Access)
Self drives from Namibia or from Maun / Ghanzi routes.
The lodge does offer return transfers from the Shakawe Airstrip to the lodge.

Binoculars and camera, cool clothing for daytime, long sleeves for evenings and warm jacket for winter nights, sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat; insect repellent, comfortable shoes.

Water at our lodge is borehole water and is safe to shower in and brush your teeth. There is bottle water available for drinking. The ice provided is also safe for consumption.
